Thank you to our Volunteers!

National Volunteer Week April 19 to April 25, 2026

April 24, 2026 Dear Members,

It is National Volunteer week, and I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere appreciation to all members of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary, Central & Arctic Region, for the time, energy, and dedication you continue to give as volunteers.

Your willingness to step forward in support of the marine search and rescue system does not go unnoticed. Your contributions strengthen the boating community and provide steadfast support in moments of need. Whether coordinating efforts, working behind the scenes, or responding on the water to save lives, your commitment has made a meaningful and lasting impact.

Thank you for showing up, giving your best, and being individuals our communities, the boating public, and our partners can depend on. The countless hours you spend away from family and friends in service of our mission "saving lives on the water" are truly remarkable.

We are grateful for all that you do and look forward to continuing this important work together. Thank you,

Shannon Laird,
Chief Executive Officer
Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary C&A Inc.
