Exemplary Service Medal

Mr. Jack Kruger

This award is to honour the lifetime achievement of Mr Jack Kruger whose contribution has been outstanding to Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Central Arctic.  Mr. Kruger has distinguished himself by contributing significantly to the CCGA for over 17 years.

Jack began his tenure with CCGA in 1997 his unit was unit 290 Hay River.  Jack was a driving force in regard to the Arctic District.  Bringing Arctic Region went from 2 units to 11 successfully with visions of further expansion.
Jack was the President of CCGA Central and Arctic for 4 years, in that time he was instrumental in organizing and introducing the C&A Honour Guard that has been used nationally as well as internationally.  He was the SAR Coordinator for the Arctic on behalf of Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Mounted Police.  C&A hosted a successful ISAR in 2007 within budget under Jack´s guidance.
Jack also sat on the National Uniform Committee and the Regional Training Committee.
Jack received the Leadership award for his extensive role with the C&A Training committee as well he was presented with the Queen´s Jubilee Medal.
Jack´s knowledge and wisdom was and still is widespread throughout the entire entity of CCGA.


Marnie Twigge-Kruger who is the late Jack Krugers wife attended the 36th AGM on Jack's behalf to accept this award.
