SAR System Overview for Trainers

Members in charge of training at either the unit level or higher have several additional responsibilities. The system has a complete tracking system for member training including the Training Levels which can be used in conjunction with Training Items to define training standards and track users progress through the various levels.

There are several reports that assist with this process:
  • Training Summary
  • Training Pulse
  • Training Grid
Each of these reports serves a specific purpose and should help members in a training role track people´s progress and focus their efforts on the areas of the greatest need.

Trainers should check the training grid frequently to ensure that all members have their approperiate training items signed-off. Once a member has completed all the items in a training level the trainer should make a log entry for that person indicating that they have Acheived the training level. Only someone with trainer access can do this.

Trainers will also frequently be responsible for submitting Classroom Session Reports to indicate attendance for personel in clasroom training sessions. See the help topic about the classroom session form for more information.

If your access isn´t set correctly talk to the unit leader/manager who should have unit management access and can set the Assign Training Levels flag that will allow you to make these log entries for other people.
