SAR Syetem Overview for Crew

The SAR Management system from a crew perspective is mainly a reporting tool and training record. You will be able to view the results of reports from Courses, Training, Classroom Sessions, and SAR Missions that you have participated in and submit certifications and expense claims.

The only area you will want to look at yourself is the Log. Which allows you to view a chronological history of all your activity that has been recorded in the system. You can also make log entries corresponding to achievements that relate to your training, but are not specifically related to the Training Standards as recorded in the system.

If your account it configured correctly - you should see a box at the top of the main menu for the SMS with your name, and that has links to your profile, your unit´s profile, your log, and various reports.

If you are a new crew member, your log will probably be empty. It will grow as each new training/classroom/incident report is filed and as your training items are signed off. All of that happens automatically - but it should be of interest to you to check back from time to time and monitor your progress.

Some of the other topics below will provide more detail about the various reports and summary information available to you.
