The In/Out service tracking of SAR assets allows assets to be marked in and out of active duty based on the dates provided. This can be used both for seasonal assets and for maintenance/overhaul reasons.

Whenever a asset is marked out of service this date indicates the date and time when the asset either left active duty or (in the case of a future date/time) is scheduled to do so. When the asset is marked back in-service and returns to active duty, this date is reset back to a blank (null) value.

Assets marked out of service that are still out of service past their expected in-service date will be flagged as "late return to service" in all reports.
