This selection controls if this person should be treated by the system as being crew or non-crew the distinction is mainly to control which types of reports will include this person in their possible personnel.

Crew are included on all forms and reports.

Non-crew can not be selected for on-water type operations and as such they will not appear on SAR Mission forms nor on Training forms.
