Roles

Much of the access granted to a person is based upon their roles within their unit, region, zone, and overall. System Administrators define what security is associated with each role and then based on which roles are assigned to a particular person - the system will grant them access to view, update, approve, and/or authorize various items.

For the average Unit Administrator editing a user record, simply assign the roles appropriate to that user and they will be granted the appropriate access as predefined by the site administrators.

Administrators should pay close attention to ensure rolls are named in such a manner as to clearly define the various functions a person may perform and so that it is easy for the unit administrator to assign appropriate roles to their personnel.
