The number of persons assisted during the SAR mission. It is important to make a distinction between Saved and Assisted when filling out these fields. Assisted persons were not in grave danger but did receive assistance from the SAR resource. Some examples include:

Broken down vessel with 2 persons on-board = 2 Assisted
Lost or disoriented vessel with a family of 4 = 4 Assisted
Passenger with a broken leg on a small ferry with 20 passengers = 1 Assisted
