In general newsletters are published with a corresponding Volume number and Issue number. In the past when newsletters were printed on paper the volume corresponded to a physical binding in which all the matching issues were collected and retained.

In most cases the volume number would be incremented once a year and the issues would all correspond to a single calendar years worth of newsletters.
