Deleting a Report

Step by step instructions for removing a report that has been created in error.

From time to time a report (incident, training, classroom, activity, request, cert, etc...) may get created that is truly an error and should be removed. As long as the report has not yet been "Marked Complete" it can be deleted - but there is an added complication if the report has already been marked-complete or if the authorization process has started.

To delete a report that is already in a pending state it must first be rejected. Once rejected it will be re-opened and can then be deleted by anyone with access to edit it.

To proceed: View the report.

At this stage scroll down to the authorization section and see if you have a button marked Reject if you dont then you will need to get someone with a higher level of access to reject the report for you. IF you do have access, click Reject - when prompted it would be advisable to add some notes that the report is being rejected so that it can be deleted as everyone on the reports work-flow will receive an email notification when the report is rejected.

Once rejected there should be the option to delete the report in the administration tools at the top of the page or from any list showing the report.
