The system level assigned to an authorization level is used to associate a known level to each of the levels created when configuring the system. These known levels can then be referenced in the security configuration for the XDe allowing the administrator to specify the maximum System Level for which a user may authorize in the SMS.

The selection is in order from lowest access to highest access:

Data Entry
Unit
Region
Zone
Headquarters
Financial
Executive

These same selections are included in the special security options for the SMS when defining security profiles within the XDe.

A user is then restricted to only those authorization levels at or below the level specified in their security profile when adding authorizations in the SMS.
