SAR Quick/Number Search

The quick search is designed to help you quickly find items in the SMS. It works best when you search using a number (for example an incident number)

You can also search for items by name/title (or portions of the name/title)

Narrowing your search to a specific group of items (searching only for an incident report) will make it faster and more accurate but you can leave it set on everything and search the entire database - you should still find what you´re looking for.

Number searches have an automatic wildcard at the beginning. Thus, a search for 12 will find results for ´0012´, ´0312´, or anything else ending in 12.

You may use the ´%´ character as a wildcard inside any search term. For example Th% would find items starting with Th

If the search locates a single item it will display that item in full. If multiple items are found it will display a list of items in summary form.

Searching For People
When searching for a person it is recommended to use either they first or their last name but not both. Select whichever name is less common and search for that. For example - when searching for Clohe Smith - search for Clohe rather then Smith
